UPDATE: Hennepin Ave is not going to be acted on at tomorrow’s Public Works and Infrastructure Committee. City Council members have decided to delay by at least two weeks to the next scheduled meeting: Thursday July 28th.
Hennepin Ave bus lanes return to Public Works & Infrastructure Committee Thursday, July 14th at 1:30 PM, Room 317. Mayor Frey has vetoed full-time bus lanes, but the issue is far from settled. This is still in the hands of the City Council. Public Works Department data withheld from the City Council shows the risk facing transit without a full-time bus lane. Our message to the City Council: it’s time to demand transparency and an honest assessment when Hennepin Avenue comes back to committee on Thursday.
